Say Hello to Megan Hill - #StudioSpotlight

Say hello to our incredible leader of Vū Nashville and VP of Studio Operations, Megan Hill! Vū is made up of some amazing people and we thought it would be good to get some insight to some of the faces that make our studios so great. Here are a few fun facts about Megan, so be sure to say hey the next time you make your way to Nashville.

How long have you lived in Nashville?

“I was born and raised in Nashville, and majored in Communications/Film + TV Production at Trevecca Nazarene University and NSCC. I worked in Nashville from 2007 - 2013, then moved out of state only to come back in 2021 to open Vū Nashville. It was so fun to come back and reconnect with the old guard of production talent while also building great relationships with the new talent in town.”

What is your favorite part of what you do?

“I love my team and building relationships with our clients. Education is a huge part of my role and I love being able to guide new virtual production clients through the process and seeing their take on this new world of production. You always learn something new with every shoot!”

How long have you been with Vū? What brought you to Vū?

"I was living in Tampa in 2021 when I started working for Diamond View (the production company that founded Vū) as a Producer. A few months in, Vū officially became it’s own company and I became one of the first full time Vū employees helping manage the Tampa studio and produce virtual shoots. My very first day at Diamond View our President mentioned he would love to build a virtual stage in Nashville. That’s when I made it my mission to move back to Nashville and open up Vū Nashville. Proud to say in January 2022 we had our first shoot at Vū Nashville and I have been the GM here ever since. This summer will be 3 years working at Vū. The Nashville stage just turned 2 years old."

Where in the studio can people usually find you?

“You can usually find me hanging out in the nest/brain bar with the virtual team (Shout out Grant and Jonathan) or sitting in the lobby working with our brilliant office manager Reika (she holds us together).”

More fun facts about Megan:

“I have been working in the production industry for 15+ years as a director, photographer, editor, and executive producer. You can find me on my off days walking around our neighborhood visiting local shops, bookstores and coffee shops. I’m married to my college sweetheart and we have 3 little girls who love to frequent the park and tag along with us as we explore the city.”
