Get to know Lindsey Sandrin - #StudioSpotlight
It’s time for another #StudioSpotlight and this time we’re highlighting our incredible Vū Orlando General Manager, Lindsey Sandrin! Let’s get to know Lindsey a bit better:
Tell us about yourself - where are you from, what do you like to do, and your professional background:
"I am a native Orlandoan, but grew up in Cleveland. I have two kiddos and LOVE to travel and give my kids new experiences. My family owns a production company, so I grew up on set. Over the years, I’ve held almost every position you can think of on a commercial set - grip, talent wrangler, camera assistant, location manager, etc. Growing up in that environment, I learned a lot about production but more importantly for my future, it taught me the importance of account management and how to build and nurture client relationships, which has become one of my biggest strengths and passions. After college, I moved back to Orlando and worked in interactive advertising, where I got a taste for the technology side of things and continued to develop my account management skills. I then spent eight years in economic + business development with the Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) where I ran the Orlando Film Commission, helped start the Orlando Tech Community, planned some incredible events, and - you guessed it - nurtured some amazing relationships with clients and community partners."
How long have you been with Vū? What brought you to Vū?
"I’ve been with Vū for almost 2.5 years now! I visited the Tampa studio in early 2021 and something in me just knew I wanted to be part of the vision. We stayed in touch and I ended up helping them find their current Orlando location, and the rest is history!"
What is your favorite part of what you do?
"I truly love helping people understand the power of Virtual Production and building long-lasting relationships with our clients."
Where in the studio can people usually find you?
"Totally depends on the day! I’ll be anywhere between my office, the stages, walking the property + talking to tenants/contractors, maybe even operating a forklift!"
What have been some highlights at the studio since opening?
"We’ve had some very fun shoots on property with a lot of sports and entertainment stars and really incredible partners. I would have to say that the most fulfilling job for me in the studio was a multi-day shoot with USAA last fall - our Virtual Art Department (VAD) executed probably the most in-depth creative we had seen yet, and the series of commercials that were shot were some of the most viewed. Most importantly for me, those clients became true friends. That job launched an incredible relationship that has spanned nearly all of our lines of business."
